Our magnolia tutorial is inspired by Chinese brush paintings of tiny, knobbly bonsai branches covered in pale, pink blooms. You’ll learn how to create your own miniature magnolia branch that will arrange easily with other flowers. It will look spectacular paired with parrot tulips or climbing roses.
What you will learn in this tutorial:
- How to create magnolia flowers in various stages of bloom
- How to create furry magnolia buds (which can be easily turned into pussy willows)
- How to create a realistic, knotty branch
Paper used: heavy Chinese crepe paper, German doublette crepe paper
- Level of difficulty: 3
Videos and written instructions, technique demos, and PDF and SVG templates are included.
