The Posey Box: Spring Collection

paper flower tutorials Nov 16, 2022

Our extensive lineup of spring paper flower tutorials covers a wide range of techniques that you can use to unleash your creativity. This collection includes two premium tutorials, Coral Charm Peony and Cherry Blossom, as well as many other favorites like magnolia, lily, tulip, and ranunculus.

You can save on all of these tutorials during our Black Friday Sale! Our entire library is on sale, but our collections offer a bigger discount.

The sale ends December 2—which is your last chance to buy any of these courses. While you will have lifetime access to anything purchased by that date, we are closing sales at that time as I shift focus to the next chapter of my teaching career.

The Spring Collection is expansive and quite a deal. You’ll have access to eight paper flower tutorials for only $200 instead of $400. This covers twelve flowers and plants!

Let’s look at what’s included:

Coral Charm Peony Tutorial

Join Quynh to learn how to make the Coral Charm Peony. This bloom is a semi-double peony, a herbaceous plant that only blooms from mid-spring to early summer. The large flower is cup shaped and will bloom to be about 6-7” in diameter. When it first blooms, it is a deep persimmon color. As time goes on, it will change to a pink coral color, and then a cream color right before the petals fall off.

What you will learn:

  • How to color and dye your crepe paper.
  • How to construct a structural peony by wiring your petals, creating a look that is stately yet soft at the same time. I will teach you how to mieter in two different ways.
  • How to laminate your crepe paper to create lush and thick stamens.
  • Understand what a Coral Charm Peony is and be able to identify carpel, stamen, stigma, anther, filament, guard petals, sepals, leaves and stem.
  • How to change up your crepe paper to reflect the petal color change as the flower ages. (Did you know that a peony bloom lasts about 5 days, and within that time, it will change from a deep persimmon to coral to cream before its petals fall off?)
  • Using the same petal to create your petals, I will show you how to create your peony bract and leaves sets.

 Japanese Dwarf Magnolia  Tutorial

Our magnolia tutorial is inspired by Chinese brush paintings of tiny, knobbly bonsai branches covered in pale, pink blooms.
